Keep getting calls from this number.  When answered only get a recording, "This is not a sales call.  This call is important, please stay on the line and an agent will be with you shortly".  It then hangs-up.

This is "Commenity Bank." They have a million different numbers from different states and call a lot if you are late on a credit card payment. They will call relentlessly until they get their money. If you block one number, they will call you on another the next day. They run cards like Victoria's Secret, Express, New York & Co, Ann Taylor Loft, etc… If you are one month behind the calls begin.

This number calls every two hours and leave NO messages. I had to come here to see who the heck is calling me and why. I checked my bank account and found I forgot to send a payment last month. God forbid I am late one month for the first time ever. September was not a good month and it slipped my mind. But the worst thing is you can't talk to a real, live person to fix anything!! The number acts like you will talk to someone but it hangs up every time. How the **** can you fix your account if no one is available and gives you the run around? Even the customer service line for the store you have the card with doesn't want to speak to you. This is BS and I filed with the BBB. I'm sure this is a scam to make people desperate to use their automated pay system and charge $15 a pop to pay right away.

My parents in Ohio keep getting calls from Comenity, 720-456-3695, telling them they owe money for an on-line purchase they made, and are being charged late fees.  My parents are 88 and 89, and do not have internet access. We want these calls to stop.  My mother and other family members have told them to stop calling, but they keep calling.  They don't have any information to give her about the alleged purchase, either.

Why not just change your telephone number and have it unlisted? Just give out the number to your closest relatives and friends. When making purchases online and a telephone number is required, just type in your area code followed by 555-1212.

You have to contact the company directly.  This is just a reporting web site that isn't affiliated with any creditors.  They will most likely never check these sites.

Man these people are stupid. Even when you tell them they have a wromg number, they continue to call.
I think if they paid their people better they'd get a better selection of bottom feeding applicants from which to choose from.
If they can't understand English (much less speak it) they have no business being in an industry that relies on them making these fraudulent calls to a (primarily) English speaking populace.
One last note- where the hell did they come up with a name like "Comenity"?
Company name sounds just as stupid as it's people.

Getting calls from 7204563695, 720456368, and 6142125164. Every day, all day; no messages left. Sometimes they call from one number, then 30 minutes later from the second number, then 20 minutes later from the third number. I don't answer unknown numbers; if you want me, leave a message! Or better yet, send it in writing. I didn't know who was calling until I decided to search for one of the numbers. Now that I know, at least I know what I'm up against.

This call is from Comenity Bank.  They are the account holders for several Dept stores such as Bealls, of which I do have an account.  I didn't answer the first several calls, because I had only used my Bealls card once and had paid it right then and there at the store counter after I opened the credit card account in order to get a 25% discount on my purchase that day.  I've never used it again since and never intended to use it again so even though I had gotten statements in the mail I didn't look at them as I assumed they were just courtesy statements to show my zero balance.  In any case, I decided I'd answer the call from Comenity this morning to find out that some magazines had been charged to my Bealls credit card and of course, not knowing this, I was behind a few months on payment.  They gave me the number of the magazine company and I was able to cancel as well as get a full credit on all the charges.  So if  you're getting calls from this number I suggest you take that call as it may be something you're not aware of,  as in my case, and it could certainly hurt your credit score.  Comenty Bank will also credit the late fees you've incurred if you call them back and let them know you cancelled and are expecting a credit for the full amount.  Takes about 72 hours.

In the past week, I have received calls from (614) and (720).  No messages.  I'm glad to read these blog notes to learn that I have two of the Comenity Credit Cards.  Both have a $0 balance.  WHY would they bother calling me?!
